First Aid

 

Te Mata School has a sick bay located next to the front office, just outside the staffroom. If a child is injured at school, teachers or office staff will administer first aid for minor injuries.

​If a child falls ill during the school day, they will be taken to the sick bay and their parent/caregiver will be called. If a more serious injury occurs, staff and office staff will contact emergency services and parents/caregivers immediately.

The Board of Trustees believes that it is important for all staff to administer first aid, so all of our teachers and support staff are first aid trained and certified.

It is important that all emergency contact details are always kept up to date.
